Do You Dare To Pause When Everything Feels Urgent?

For many changemakers, the work never really stops. There is always another email, another funding deadline, another community that needs you. It can feel almost impossible to step away, even for a moment, without guilt or pressure creeping in.

Dare to Pause is a 60-minute wellbeing checkpoint that invites you to do exactly that. Once a quarter, we gather online for a guided reset so you can slow down, listen to your body, and realign your work with what actually sustains you.

In this intimate, off-the-record session, you will be held in a safe, confidential space to check in with how you are really doing, name what feels heavy or energising, and gently adjust your habits before burnout makes that decision for you. Cameras on, recording off. Just a small circle of peers who are brave enough to stop when it seems like there is no time to.

Each Dare to Pause session stands alone, yet together they create a rhythm across the year. You will leave with one or two simple wellbeing commitments to test between sessions, and a growing sense of camaraderie with other impact leaders who are choosing to look after themselves so they can keep showing up for others.

These participative sessions are guided by Al Jeffery, BFGN’s Wellbeing Ambassador and founder of Turning Ground. Al is a psychotherapist, regenerative leadership guide, and experienced facilitator who has spent years holding reflective space for changemakers and leaders who care deeply and navigate complexity.

Why Attend?

If you are tired, stretched, or running on adrenaline more than you would like, this hour is for you. Dare to Pause is not another webinar to consume. It is a live, guided space to breathe, feel, and recalibrate with others who get what the changemaker juggle really feels like.

Come as you are. Leave a little more grounded, a little more resourced, and with a community behind you asking the same quiet, provocative question:

Will you dare to pause? RSVP now!
